Workshops information:

Sweet success experiences - business & marketing strategies for growth :

Competition involves positioning services and products in the minds of clients and patients in such a way
that the products and services are perceived to be different from one another. Strategy is concerned
with effectiveness rather than efficiency and is the process of analysing the environment and designing
the fit between the Health care business, its resources and objectives and the environment. Strategic
marketing management is concerned with how we will create value for the clients.

Transference tool for a manual therapist:

Everyone is taught about transference and to watch out for it. There are tools in the psychological field
to identify and treat transference, but no effective ones for manual therapists. Presented here is a 5
minute tool to identify transference neurologically and define a psychological treatment boundary (as
manual therapists are not typically equipped to deal with complex psychological trauma).

Lunch sponsored by 2 guys with knifes.

MET for various muscles inserting on the neck:

We will review a cervical somatic dysfunction examination from start to finish using a variety of
assessment methods with you. Such methods as the famous Muscle Energys translatory motion testing,
myofascial shoulder depressions for the 3 upper trapezius divisions, and ribs 1 & 2 mobilizations to
assess the length of each of the three scalene.

Myofascial trigger points - their pain referral patterns & differential diagnoses:

Participants will learn the clinical signs and symptoms of myofascial trigger points as based of the
research of Dr. Travell M.D. and Dr. Simons M.D.. This will include palpation, clinical interview skills,
applicable contraindications and treatment modifications, and ROM testing. Pain referral patterns and
differential diagnosis of common trigger points will be explored as well as treatment and homecare options.

Rehabilitation and exercise prescription:

Rehabilitation and exercise prescription during the phases acute , sub acute , chronic remodeling one
and two. How one can incorporate this into their clinic . Forming a good business model.
